DeWALT Power Drill Review

By no means am I an expert… but I do consider myself handy and an aspiring DIY-er!

There’s always something that needs to be done around the house, and no task – big or small – can be accomplished without the trusty power drill. Whether it was building 5 raised garden beds (picture below!) or installing a pergola on the deck, this power drill [and my husband] has been my trusty sidekick!

The DeWALT DWD115K drill features an 8-amp motor, which is powerful enough to get the most basic tasks (hanging picture frames) to more complex tasks done. Plus, I never concern myself with needing to charge the battery because it’s corded. Hello, extension cord!

I sometimes forgot to charge the battery on my old Ryobi drill so, come project time, the charging time would eat up my time. I know, I know… it was my own fault for being negligent and forgetting to charge it but, well… I’m sure you know exactly what I mean ;)

You can’t start fixing without the bits, so we’re also including this:

The bits included in this set will give you the much-needed basics, including:
1-inch slotted bit tips in a variety of sizes; 2-inch Phillips head power bit; and square recess tips.
