Looking up at the stars is something that not too many people do these days, but I don’t think that people realize just how good of a view you can get of distant planets with an introductory level telescope! Something like this makes the perfect gift for adolescents who are interested in the world around them.

I didn’t know you could get images this good with an $80 telescope. Pretty cool, no? I decided to get the Celestron AstroMaster Refractor Telescope for my son for Christmas. Shh! Don’t tell.

This telescope sets up quick & easy with no tools required. If you want something that you can use for celestial AND terrestrial viewing, this is what you want. This telescope also gives erect images; that is, the object you’re looking at will always be right side up, unlike some other telescopes. It also includes Level 1 planetarium software with 10,000 objects in its database.
Contest starts 11/27/12 and ends on 12/12/12. Contest open to residents of the US only.
