Panasonic Canister Vacuum Cleaner Review

I know, it’s hard to get excited about a vacuum cleaner.  But, it can be done!

And I’ll prove it.

Introducing the Panasonic Canister Vacuum.

Features:

  • 11 amp motor
  • Includes a blower function
  • 17 foot cord with retractable reel
  • Soft wheels, so it won’t scar your floor
  • 12 inch cleaning nozzle

I currently have an upright vacuum cleaner and after reading about the pros and cons of the old fashioned types, I have to say that my next one will be just that: a canister vacuums.

What heresy is this, you ask?  “Just go ahead and shun the rest of modern technology while you’re at it,” you say?  Nay!

Upright vacuum cleaners have their uses, but they’re not as versatile as canister vacuums.  The main advantage that canister vacuums have over uprights is that they are easier to push across the floor and they are easier to use to clean furniture, lamp shades, and even cobwebs off of ceiling corners.  This makes it easier to clean not just for us happy, healthy young gals, but also for older women who aren’t as strong as they used to be.  For them, pushing around an upright can be a hassle.

What If It Breaks?

If a canister vacuum’s power head stops working, you can simply get a replacement.  If the power head on an upright breaks, you need a new vacuum cleaner, because let’s face it: are you going to take your vacuum cleaner to a repair shop when it goes kaput?  I doubt it.

But, But.. It.. Uses.. BAGS!!

So? I don’t know about you, but I’ve used bagless vacuums the past few years and they always end up getting dust all over my clothes and everything else when I go to empty them.  And I don’t like it; it defeats the purpose of vacuuming.  Sure, it’s a tad more effort to replace the bag, but so is re-vacuuming what you just vacuumed after you spill the contents of the container all over the floor.

The Giveaway

So, to celebrate the re-discovery of retro vacuuming technology, I’m giving away a Panasonic Canister Vacuum Cleaner.  Keep it for yourself or give it to your mom or someone else who you just know is tired of lugging around that big clunker of an upright.  You’ll be happy you did it.
