Furi Rachael Ray Gusto-Grip 7-Piece Knife Set Review & Giveaway

Knife sets are cool.

Knife sets with blocks to store them in are cooler.

But, a knife set with a block that you can take apart and CLEAN?  Now, that’s kickin’!

Most conventional knife block sets look like this:

Here’s the thing about these… see the slits that the knives go into?  They’re not bottomless.  This means that they are absolutely, 110% impossible to clean.  Think about it.  You go to pains to make sure your knives are clean and sanitary; you pull them out of the dishwasher and are then forced by design to shove them down into a dark, dirty, dust-filled crevice.  This just defeated the purpose of the dishwasher cycle your knives just came out of.  WHY would you do this???

Yeah, I didn’t think you’d be happy about that, either.

But, the Rachael Ray Furi knife set solves this problem beautifully by having a removable bottom so you can clean the container your knives go in. See, look!

This set includes:

  • 1 4-inch paring knife
  • 1 5-inch utility knife
  • 1 5-inch cooks knife
  • 1 7-inch bread knife
  • 1 pair of kitchen shears
  • And the highlight, a clean storage knife block

The extra-grippy handles on these help prevent slipping even if your hands are oily or wet.

And… you guys know the drill… enter to win a set of these knives below! :-)

Contest begins 9/13 and ends 9/27.

I like the Food Network chefs that have their cookware sold through Cooking.com like Rachael Ray, Guy Fieri and Paula Deen.

More by Rachel Ray. I love her products. And hallelujah! Somebody else thought about the nasty, dark, places that knife blocks are. I love this knife set!

I desperately need some sharp knives. All mine went out with the Nashville Flood, two years ago, and the replacements were cheap and are now dull.

I’m totally open, I just started experimenting with recipes (by the way, my kids are totally loving it and so am I!) and I find that I know very little about what is available. Reading and reviewing your reviews helps immensely!

I have several different celebrity pieces I’ve picked up on clearance. I love them all. But Gordon Ramsey is my favorite.
