The Hunger Games Book Series Review & Giveaway

The Hunger Games is one of the biggest franchises on the planet right now, and with good reason. The books take place in the dystopian nation of Panem. After a failed revolution, the people of Panem have been divided into districts.

To further punish the districts as a constant reminder to stay in line the Capitol creates the Hunger Games, a yearly event in which the twelve districts offer up one girl and one boy to fight to the death in a massive arena.

For Katniss Everdeen the games are nothing more than a brutal afterthought until an act of sacrifice puts her in the position of tribute. Now, it’s a fight to stay alive and the cost of victory may be one with unexpected consequences.

This has to be one of the most gripping book series of our time, so I’m giving away a free set of the books in hard cover format!  They won’t be printing the hard cover versions of these books forever, so snatch them up now while you can!

Our friends over at Cotygeek are giving away The Hunger Games movie on Bluray, also, starting today!  Check out their contest, too!

I borrowed all these books from a friend to read; but I want to own them! They were such amazing books, and the movie followed the novel so well!

I borrowed the books from a friend and loved them. Even though they’re usually considered teen fiction, I found the story gripping and read the series through in one weekend. I’d love to win my own set!

I’ve read the first two and loved them. And the criticism that it ripped off “Battle Royale” is rather silly since that book and film was simply one of many stories and films to rip off “The Most Dangerous Game”.

I have not read them yet but I have seen the first movie. Very good. Such a sad concept though. The way the world is run in the book.

As soon as I finished The Hunger Games, I immediately got Catching Fire (in eBook format) and couldn’t put it down…Mocking Jay is turning out to be a slower read. As I often find with trilogies, I don’t want the story to end!

I can only judge the books from the movie and what I’ve been told. The movie was pretty good and those who’ve read the book said the book was better than the movie having me to believe the other two would be on par.

I loved the trilogy but I must said the final was a bit disappointing, I tho their love would be different not just grow old together with out further explanation.
